So, I'm not sure if anyone else has, but o97doge just posted the project “death by a thousand copyright claims.” It basically says that snail ide took a lot of extensions without respecting their license. It's not a problem now, but if snail ide grows bigger, “Death by a thousand copyright claims may happen!” Which is bad, if you couldn't tell.
The project says there are three solutions:
- Remove the extensions and break all the projects that use them, which would be very sad to all the people that have made projects with them,
- Rewrite the extensions on our one, which would take many, many hours of the devs time, or
- Leave them as they are, but then death by a thousand copyright claims may happen!
